Passed away peacefully in Greymouth on January 3, 2026, aged 65.
Deeply loved daughter of the late Kay & Ron, treasured sister of Brenda, Susan, Tony & Brydie,
dearly loved aunty of Savannah, Asti & Jayden Maxted, and Caleb, precious great aunty of Oliver, Toby, Rowan, and Blair,
special niece of Susan & Trevor Dixon, a loved niece, cousin and friend of many.

A memorial service to celebrate Karen’s life will be held in the
William Sampson Memorial Chapel, Tainui St, Greymouth on Friday at 11am
followed by interment of her ashes in the Karoro Lawn Cemetery.
A very special friend who I have known since we worked at Central Bookshop in the late seventies. One beautiful lady who cared about everyone. Will be sadly missed. RIP.
