Passed away peacefully on 31 July 2026, aged 65 years.
Cherished and much-loved mother and mother-in-law of
Kristi and Chris Read (Greymouth), Jessica and Matt Mackinlay (Dunedin), and the late Erica Rae White,
adored Raema and Nanny of Henry, Samson, Lottie, and Ava,
dearly loved daughter of the late Bob and Gay Hutchison,
loved sister and sister-in-law of Helen and Ken Dynes (Wanaka), Kevin and Carolyn Hutchison (Dunedin),
and treasured Aunty of all her nieces and nephew,
now reunited with her much-loved dogs, Rupert and Paddy.

A special acknowledgement and heartfelt thanks to the staff of
Te Nikau Hospital, the Oncology Team, and Christchurch Oncology for their compassionate care and support.
Sincere thanks also to the Cancer Society, especially Maree and the support group, to Dr Jenny Spring,
and to the Palliative Care Team for their kindness, dedication, and exceptional care.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Rae’s life will be held at the
Alexandra Bowling Club, Alexandra on Saturday, 8 August 2026, at 1pm.
Rae requested everyone to wear bright colours in her memory.
