Passed away peacefully at his home in Runanga,
surrounded by his loving family on January 8, 2022.
Deeply loved husband of Margrete,
cherished dad and father-in-law of Pete & Helen, and Rachel,
beloved Grandad of Jessica, loved Pop of Tanith, Shay, Cade, Coen, and Carshena,
and devoted friend of ‘Hunter’… and some humans.
A private graveside service has been held and Peter laid to rest at the
Memorial Park Cemetery, Gladstone.

I would like to say that my memory of Mr Peter Gee will always be very positive. A more decent and able boss I have yet to meet in my many decades of work about New Zealand in a variety of positions. He was able to remain above the veneer of small office politics and always kept a straight line in dealing with others. He was a very decent chap and I will not forget him.
