So sorry to hear of the passing of Gabe. I was lucky enough to work with him for Peter Millar of Bannock Brae, cutting scrub doing all the marker pegs, guard rails etc. I remember one morning waiting for the crew down at Bruce Bay no traffic, in that red nissan ute and trailer and he was backing along the road just for something to do and I said you’ll jacknife it, and he said nah- next thing he’s going full noise backwards, pedal to the metal – holly hell !! No problem. Never seen that done before or since. He was a great operator. Knew everybody. All wanted to stop and talk to Gabe. He was just a great guy. Deepest sympathy to the family, Trish, Gabe and Nicole and Fan. RIP
