Passed away peacefully in Perth with whanau by his side on December 19, 2025, aged 81.
Dearly loved husband of the late Noeline,
cherished father of Shane and Jacci, Paul (deceased), Keri, Kim, and Cherie,
loving granddad of Josh and Lydia, Olivia and Tim; Soraya and Jayson, Jurnee and Dan, and Isaiah; and Brodie,
loved great-granddad of Noah, Payton, and Elias; Harlem, Israel, Navy, and Paisley,
loved friend of Robert, and Lance,
loved son of the late Harai and Kiwi,
loved brother and brother-in-law of Tawhai (deceased) and Diane, Tiki and the late Jacqui,
and the late Oriwa and Denis Cutbush,
loved son-in-law of the late Alva and Fred Butcher,
loved brother-in-law of Bev and the late Terry Hogg, Pam and John Murphy,
Susie and Kevin Neame, and the late Elvie Butcher,
and a loved uncle, cousin and friend.
His laughter and warm heart will be forever remembered.
A Service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held in
Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Tainui Street, Greymouth on Monday at 1pm,
followed by burial at Karoro Lawn Cemetery.
Great memories of Dick and his family many years ago in Harihari. Rest in peace Bro
Remember Richard when he lived down Chattockville in Reefton. He worked in the Forestry with my Dad. A fine strapping young man. Such a hard worker with a big chuckly laugh.
