Passed away peacefully at Granger House, Greymouth surrounded by family on April 30, 2025, aged 96.
Dearly loved wife of the late Geoff, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Lois & Murray Butcher (Palmerston North),
and Keith and Karen (Runanga), loved grandmother of Rachael, Andrew, Sarah, and Geoff,
loved great grandmother of Courtney, Christina, Charlee, and Conan,

A Memorial Service to celebrate Irene’s life will be held in the William Sampson Memorial Chapel,
Tainui Street, Greymouth on Tuesday 3rd June 2025 at 12 noon,
Irene’s ashes will then be interred with Geoff at the Karoro Lawn Cemetery.
