Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Granger House
on June 28, 2023, Aged 78.
Much loved Dad of Rhonda & Mark, Lisa & Darren, and Cory & Tracy,
loved granddad of Dean, and Anaru, beloved great granddad of Kai,
much loved brother and brother-in-law of Betty and the late Reg,
and a much loved uncle, cousin and cobber of many.

A private family cremation has taken place at the Westland Crematorium.
A gathering to share memories and stories, as a celebration of Athol’s life
will be held in the
Grey Power Rooms, 136-140 Revell Street, Hokitika
Tuesday at 2pm.

I knew Athol from School days, sadly I have just learned of his passing by reading this notice. I accasionally caught up with him when visiting the Coast when he was playing in the Kokatahi Band. More recently I regularly caught up with him driving tour coaches through Hoki where he was a true iconic and friendly fixture. So sad. My deepest condolences to his family. Rest in Peace Athol.
