Passed away unexpectedly at his home in Cobden on December 26, 2021, aged 56.

A Funeral Service to celebrate John’s life will be held in the
William Sampson Memorial Chapel, Tainui Street on Monday at 1pm
followed by cremation here on the Coast at the Westland Crematorium.
Under current Covid regulations there will be no restriction on attendance numbers.
‘My Vaccine Pass’ required.
I’ll miss going to the coast and you being easy to find, out and about in the community, smiling, joking, and enjoying yourself.
I’ll still spot the Coca-Cola merchandise and wonder if you have it or I should buy it for you.

After hearing the sad news of my old friend John, I still find it hard to know i can’t catch up with you back on Coast one day soon never forgot our times catching up for a coffee, beer & something to eat fish & chips. Always Happy when i saw your Coca-Cola collection growing & if i was coming back to NZ add a few more for you Sorry being overseas and lost touch the last few years. RIP my friend.
